Letter From The Board President Dear Friends, See the need—Be part of the solution Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. With an 80% illiteracy rate—Mission Haiti Inc. has focused its resources and energy on educating the poor children of Leogane, Haiti. We are proud to be part of the solution. The children who learn at Annunciation School in Leogane are fed every day—for most their only meal of the day. Those of us in first world who have been blessed with ample love, support, food and shelter, can’t imagine what life can be like without these basics. What a joy, what a privilege to be able to share with these children—to change their lives by giving. Now we have been called upon to share our gifts with those in need. The women in the Village of Jesus, a home for abandoned women, are now under our care. Believing in the dignity of all people and being in solidarity with our Haitian brothers and sisters, we are committed to making the last years of these women as comfortable as possible.
