MHI Immersion Trip Itineraries

Immersion trip itineraries vary with each trip and are created with the best of intentions but are subject to change during the trip due to any number of occurences, such as unusually heavy traffic. 

Sample Itinerary

Day One: Arrive in PAP, R & R/dinner/briefing for next day

Day Two 

• 7:30am - 8:30am: morning prayer (optional), breakfast 
• 8:30am: travel to Leogane
• Morning: visit to Annunciation school -- help serve lunch, time on playground with kids
• Lunch
• Afternoon: spa time and games with the ladies at the Village of Jesus
• Evening: R&R/dinner/roses, buds & thorns meeting/overnight at guest house in Leogane 

Day Three in Leogane

• 7:30am - 8:30am: morning prayer (optional), breakfast 
• Morning: visit Couer de Marie secondary school
• Lunch at Bethleem Farm
• Afternnoon: Tour of Bethleem Farm, visit Our Lady of the Angels school, short trip to the fishing beach 
• Evening: R&R/dinner/roses, buds & thorns meeting

Day Four

• 7:30am - 8:30am: morning prayer (optional), breakfast 
• Morning: travel to Port au Prince
• Lunch at Hotel Oloffson
• Afternoon: Visit University of Notre Dame Haiti or Hands Together, shopping at CAH
• Evening: R&R/dinner/roses, buds & thorns meeting

Day Five 

• 7:30am - 8:30am: morning prayer (optional), breakfast 
• Morning: Visit school or orphanage, and Bon Sel Dayiti
• Lunch in Port au Prince
• Afternoon: Croix des Bouquest metal artist village
• Evening: R&R/dinner/roses, buds & thorns meeting

Day Six 

• 7:30am - 8:30am: morning prayer (optional), breakfast 
• Morning: Visit Observatiion Boutilliers, Baptist Mission
• Lunch at Baptist Mission
• Afternoon: Visit Wynne Farm, snack Kay Atizan 
• Evening: R&R/dinner/roses, buds & thorns meeting

Day Seven

• 7:30am - 8:15am breakfast 
• Morning: mass at Missionaries of Charity 
• Lunch in Port au Prince 
• Afternoon: Visit to The Haitian National Memorial and Peace Park (HNMPP) in Titanyen, R&R, Snack or early dinner
• Evening: Tour St. Damien Pediatric Hospital, Evening mass at St. Damien, Roses, buds & thorns meeting at guest house

Last Day: 10:30am Leave for airport, depart Haiti
